With all the flowers blooming in the spring, we find it hard to resist buying all those little flowers and plants at the local gardening stores. Fresh succulents, those bright annuals, and those big, beautiful hanging plants.

The downside is trying to find the perfect pot or planter to display those newly acquired plants in.

Well, we have a solution…mason jars!

Easy to find, mason jars are one of the best items to use for crafting projects. You can find them at many crafting stores, the neighborhood garage sale or you might even have a couple in your cabinets.

In this step-by-step diy project we will be creating hanging mason jar planters. Perfect for a rustic or farmhouse touch, this wall diy décor project, is simple and easy to build.

Once you have completed your hanging mason jars, they will be just right for any room of your home.

Or you can follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Step 1

DIYG Tip: Try to follow the same stroke pattern & you can give the bottom of your jars a second coat, but it is not necessary.

Step 2

DIYG Tip: Note: To save money and avoid buying a sand block, wrap a regular piece of sandpaper around a scrap piece of wood to sand

Step 3

DIYG Tip: Hold the nail with your fingers and lightly tap it with your hammer to dig the nail into the wood, then remove your fingers and hammer all the way in

Step 4

Step 5

Step 6

DIYG Tip: Make sure that your bow and knots are tight so that your jar stays in place

Step 7

DIYG Tip: You will most likely have to cut down the stems of your greenery/flowers so that they fit properly in your jars

Step 8

DIYG Tip: You can place your boards on the wall evenly next to each other, I personally like the staggered look

Step 9

Now just sit back and enjoy your new décor!
